Σούπερ γιαγιά… Στα 73 της ασχολήθηκε με την γυμναστική και απέκτησε… μπράτσα (pics-video)

H 73χρονη είναι η ζωντανή απόδειξη πως ο καθένας μπορεί να αλλάξει το σώμα του σε όποια ηλικία.

Μια 73χρονη αποφάσισε να αλλάξει το σώμα της και τρόπο ζωής και τα κατάφερε!

Συγκεκριμένα η Joan MacDonald, μια 73χρονη γιαγιά από το Οντάριο του Καναδά, ξεκίνησε να γυμνάζεται πριν από τρία χρόνια και έκτοτε έχασε περισσότερα από 29 κιλά και έμαθε πώς να ζήσει έναν υγιεινό τρόπο ζωής.

Από τότε που έκανε λογαριασμό στο Instagram πριν από τρία χρόνια, η Joan έχει 748.000 ακόλουθους και δημοσιεύει τακτικά τις προπονήσεις της, καθώς και συμβουλές για υγιή ζωή.

Στη σελίδα της στο Instagram, η Joan είπε στους ακολούθους της ότι εκπαιδεύεται με βάρη πέντε φορές την εβδομάδα.

My biggest advice to all of you trying to make a big change is: JUST DON’T QUIT! 💪 When I started out on this journey (that I’m STILL on, mind you), I didn’t have high expectations. I just wanted to get off my medication and stop racing towards that hospital bed! 😩 My daughter had tried for years to persuade me to stop snacking and start following a proper eating routine, but I was just too exhausted and depressed to make it stick, or so I thought. Watching my own mother sicken and pass away in a nursing home, and hearing my own doctor tell me I needed to increase my heart medication, was the final straw. 💪 When my daughter pleaded with me one last time to join her online transformation group, I went for it. Even though I didn’t own a cell phone at the time, or know a darned thing about apps or even how to take a picture and “load” it ! 😳 t#This was a Big Leap moment for me. I did it for my health, and I did it so that I could try to enjoy my last years on this earth happy and energized. 🙏 If I could persuade you all to do it for your own health and well-being, to invest in your strength and flexibility so that you can really enjoy being in your own body, then I will be a happy woman. When you improve your health, it’s like taking a whole new lease out in life. You don’t even know all the benefits that will come your way, so you can enjoy a heap of wonderful surprises there, too. 💕 . For those of you that are unable to work with a coach, my team and I are finalizing my first ebook to help you get started. It will cover training at home, a meal plan that I am helping to put together with some of my favorite recipes, and some of my own top tips on mindset. It will be available soon, and I will keep you all updated. I’m working very hard on the exercise videos myself. 💪💪 . Have a beautiful Sunday everybody. «Φροντίζω να κοιμάμαι στην ώρα μου κάθε βράδυ, ώστε να ξεκουράζομαι αρκετά. Έχω επίσης χόμπι όπως η κηπουρική που με κάνει να νιώθω ανανεωμένη και χαρούμενη», είπε.

Επίσης μοιράζεται τις αγαπημένες της συμβουλές για υγιεινή διατροφή, αποκαλύπτοντας ότι καταναλώνει λαχανικά, προϊόντα ολικής αλέσεως και πρωτεΐνες.

«Όσον αφορά τη διατροφή, φροντίζω να πάρω όλα τα γεύματά μου. Επίσης, φροντίζω να μην υπερβάλω και να διατηρούμαι σε καλή κατάσταση», ανέφερε.

I just started to learn how to barbell squat this year. 😅 Leggings are by @womensbest for those of you wondering. Who would like to see me come up with my own clothing line with WB? 💪 . I’m no expert on these and I’m limited in my Range of Motion but here are a couple of tips that I picked up from my coaches @yourhealthyhedonista and @jeanjacquesbarrett : 1) get tight for each rep! I’m trying to squeeze my abs and then take a full deep breath into my mid section and hold it until the rep is done 😅 2) I really have to think about pulling that bar into my back as I squat down so I’m not so wobbly 3) this one is really hard but I’m trying! I am thinking of pushing my knees out as I push back up when I’m at the bottom. Sometimes I get it, and sometimes I don’t. . I started squatting on the Smith machine last year, and this year I’ve graduated to barbell squats. As you can see I use knee sleeves to protect my old knees and they work like a charm. These are by @mbslingshot and I wear a size XXL ☺️ . Listen, it’s not about being perfect. It’s about trying to learn, allowing yourself to make mistakes, and keeping a positive attitude. I am far from perfect but I keep on trying to get better and I cut myself a lot of slack. 👻 Don’t let fear or doubt or old habits stop you from growing. Okay, so one of the questions I am often asked is how I changed my mindset. Well, I can highly recommend reading powerful books as a way to get started. 📚📚 Both reading books like this one “Think Like A Warrior” by Darren Donnelly, and using an app like @headspace to meditate, have really helped me. I think they can help you too. I meditate for about 20 minutes every day, come rain or shine. I am far from perfect but boy oh boy it has helped me become more aware of my thoughts and patterns. It just helps me to feel good about myself and more at peace. I can definitely say that my life has improved since I started meditating. Next, reading good mindset books helps plant seeds in your own mind to think and do better. One of my favorite lessons from Think Like a Warrior is to focus on the two things within my control: my effort and my attitude. It’s so easy to get swept up in worry thoughts and get sidetracked, BUT when we come back to the basics everything starts to get clear. Instead of worrying about things that are beyond my control, I focus on the things that I can actually do something about. I try to give it my best shot, and I try to keep a positive attitude about myself and my efforts. These two things have really changed my life and I think they might help you out too. Who knows? At least give it a try! 😅😅 Have a wonderful day everybody, I hope you get that little extra push to change your lives for the better or to keep moving forwards! 20 reps for four sets!! 😅😅😅My Coach is trying to kill me!! 🤪🤪 . Every time I head to the gym I give it my best effort! I always use the proper equipment like these knee sleeves and stable shoes when I’m training. I also always try to improve my form and get a full range of motion. I’m far from perfect but boy o boy I push hard in there, even for a grandma! I never ever baby myself just because I’m older. I know that real change requires real effort and I’m prepared to give it my all. 👵🏼👵🏼 Don’t hold yourself back! Every time you step into the gym give your 💯 % best shot. Leave it all on the gym floor, and get what you came for!
