“Step forward and be equal for #IWD2020. Make International Woman’s Day YOUR day!”
Valentina Prastiti, Chief Operating Officer of Prestige Group in Cyprus| www.prestigegroupcy.com
Working as Chief Operating Officer is a challenging task, especially since the sector of VIP services is an ongoing 24/7 industry which is very demanding. Part of the challenge is to achieve the right balance of representing women fairly in media through all our actions. For this reason, at the Prestige Group, we choose careful marketing techniques and we are one of the few companies in Cyprus who address women and men equally throughout all our services. At Prestige, we believe that our clients, regardless sex, are citizens of the world and this is how we position our brand and our products.
“From a personal view, as I celebrate my eleventh International Women’s Day as a working mother, I’ll be fighting for the positive contribution to building a balanced and gender equal world for my children and do whatever I can for a positive change on a daily basis all year around. An equal world is a better world.”
International Woman’s Day is not to be seen as a personal issue, each one of us can help create a gender equal world, each of us and all collectively we can challenge stereotypes, fight bias and broaden perceptions. International Woman’s Day should be YOUR day. IWD should be our day!
There is still an ongoing necessity worldwide for more progressive approaches. I feel honoured that I belong to a Group where this issue is embraced, it’s part of our culture and we take actions towards change. I am proud to mention that in our Group the senior leadership team is 60% female and this does matter! We should all encourage more women into leadership roles, we need to be more open minded and promote diversity.
At Prestige Group equality is a business issue and a prerequisite for economies and communities in order to excel. It requires unified action and continuous effort all the year around. We have launched several bespoke campaigns geared to support women, such as kids’ transfers aimed to relieve working parents (women and men alike) from their daily obligations.
International Woman’s Day should be a call to action for accelerating women’s equality
and belongs to women and men regardless country colour religion or age. It belongs to all of us collectively and everywhere.
