The Limassol Tourism Board (LTC), in the context of the European Act ANDIKAT (Greece-Cyprus 2014-2020/INTERREG V-A), created a short video to showcase Agia Trias artificial reef in the Dasoudi sea area.
The four-minute film demonstrates the beauty of the seabed and special characteristics of the artificial reef that hosts the Agia Trias platform / training infrastructure for amateur divers. The video completes a series of three films produced by MusicEra, to promote the Dasoudi artificial reef, diving tourism in Limassol and the protection of the sea. Two of the films show different parts of the area presenting the shipwreck Konstantis, Agia Trias/ training infrastructure for amateur divers, and other complementary elements such as amphorae. The third video (animation) has been created for educational purposes and is addressed to younger generations, to encourage diving and cultivate environmental conscience and love of the sea. The €3.2 million ANDIKAT Act aims to create diving routes in protected sea areas in Eastern Mediterranean and to develop a network for diving tourism. The Cypriot partners in the project, aiming to upgrade and create routes at the Dasoudi artificial reef and at the Amathus area, are the Limassol Tourism Board, the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (Ministry of Agriculture), the Oceanography Centre (University of Cyprus) and the Department of Antiquities (Ministry of Transport).
