The Nicosia Risk Forum (#NRF2020) organized by CERIDES – Excellence in Innovation and Technology of European University Cyprus for the 3rd consecutive year will take place on Thursday 26 November 2020. Due to the special conditions caused by the pandemic, this year’s edition will occur online, and includes a regional dimension.
Senior Government Officials, Academics and Professionals from the South East Europe region will meet to discuss civil protection and security issues at the societal level. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides, the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management of the Hellenic Republic Nikos Chardalias, the Deputy Minister of Research and Innovation of the Hellenic Republic Christos Dimas, the Chief Scientist Nikolas Mastrogiannopoulos, as well as Ambassadors and Civil Protection heads from Israel, Jordan and Cyprus, together with scientists and professionals in the field of Civil Protection, will meet to highlight its regional dimension.
The discussion this year includes a panel of health scientists consisting of Zoe Dorothea Pana, Konstantinos Tsioutis, George Nikolopoulos, Gkikas Magorkinis and representatives from the region to discuss the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
