52.000 euro in vouchers to 1300 health workers at Limassol Hospital
Stelios Philanthropic Foundation continues to support healthcare workers, by offering a total of 52 thousand euro in vouchers to medical, nursing, care and administrative staff at the Limassol General Hospital, as a demonstration of gratitude for being on the frontline daily, in a colossal fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
One thousand three hundred people working under the most difficult of circumstances and on many occasions giving even more that is humanly possible, will each receive a chequebook of a total of 40 euro in vouchers that can be used at Alphamega Hypermarkets throughout Cyprus. It is worth noting, that 10% of the vouchers value is covered by Alphamega themselves, while the chequebooks will be distributed through State Health Services Organisation (OKYPY).
Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou sends his warm Christmas wishes, along with this token of appreciation, a simple heartfelt thank you to the frontliners, who demonstrate their dedication and professionalism through their contribution to the fight of our compatriots to survive. Sir Stelios said: “During this difficult time for our country, we are all obliged to stand in solidarity to those who are tirelessly striving day and night in defending the highest value in life, and that is our health.”
Last May, the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation offered gift vouchers to one thousand nursing staff working in the six state hospitals, a total value of 100 thousand euro.
