SEPAGA, the Electronic Money Institution based in Cyprus, has received four ISO Certifications for best practices in quality management (ISO 9001:2015), environmental performance (ISO 14001 and EMAS certifications) and health and safety (ISO 45001:2018). The Electronic Money Institution, licensed and regulated by the Central Bank of Cyprus, recently acquired ISO 45001:2018 for the first time. The additional three ISOs were first acquired in 2018, and were successfully renewed in 2019 and 2020.
The respective ISO Certifications, which are awarded by an independent body, ensure that the products and services of an organization meet specific requirements and often provide solutions to global problems.
More specifically, ISO 9001:2015 for quality management systems, is focused on the development of processes to continuously optimize company performance and meet customer requirements in the best possible way, while ISO 45001:2018 focuses on the provision of a safe and healthy work environment. On the other hand, ISO 14001 and the EMAS certification, are international standards that specify requirements for an effective environmental management system, reducing environmental impact, strengthening legal compliance and employee involvement, while also saving resources.
