A special concert by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra to be exclusively broadcast on social media
PwC Cyprus, in collaboration with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, will present a special concert dedicated to all the medical, nursing and support staff who are giving their own every day battle on the frontlines to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.
The recorded concert includes an extensive selection of the most beautiful Christmas songs and orchestral pieces of all time. The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy pieces like “Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, “Santa Baby” and “White Christmas”, as well as “Antonio Vivaldi’s “Winter” concerto and “Fantasy on Greensleeves” by Vaughan Williams. Maestro Gerardo Estrada Martínez will be conducting the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, while all the songs will be performed by soprano Aliki Chrysochou.
In statements, PwC Cyprus CEO Mr. Evgenios Evgeniou said that “In the past few months, and especially in this period, we are faced with great uncertainty and intense challenges, as a result of the spread of the pandemic. The real heroes of this period are none other than the frontline healthcare workers to whom we dedicate this concert, as a sign of recognition and appreciation of their valuable contribution”.
The concert will be broadcast on 24 & 25 December at 11:00 and 26 & 27 December at 17:00 by the PwC Cyprus and the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Facebook pages as well as by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra YouTube channel (CYSO Channel).
*The concert will be held in adherence to all necessary measures announced by the Ministry of Health, aiming to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
