Cyprus Public Transport is launching PAME WIFI, a free Wi-Fi pilot service available inside Cyprus Public Transport buses and at bus stations. Aiming to better serve its passengers, the service will provide full internet access for passengers using the buses where WiFi will be available, enhancing their experience using Cyprus Public Transport buses.
For the first time in Cyprus, our customers will have free internet access in all Public Transport areas, an innovative project at the forefront of European Public Transport Quality.
The pilot service will be available in 8 specific buses, 2 in Larnaca and 6 in Nicosia. Apart from the buses, a free Wi-Fi connection will be available at 4 bus stations within the same districts, 1 in Larnaca and 3 in Nicosia. After the testing period, we will extend the service to the whole fleet and Network stations.
“PameWiFi” aims to eventually offer every passenger of Cyprus Public Transport a free WiFi connection while the route lasts, so that they can find what they look for, organize the activities of the day, communicate and generally use the Internet as they wish, in a fast and easy way, by following some simple steps.
Cyprus Public Transport intends to bring a new era of public transportation in Cyprus. For this reason, the company has invested significant funds to renew and modernize its fleet, making sure that the new buses are safer and more comfortable, but also more environmental-friendly. By using the “Pame” app, those who choose to travel with Cyprus Public Transport can track the bus they are interested in through a real-time bus tracking tool, have access both to information about the routes and to maps, as well as remain up-to-date regarding any other useful information they may need.
Having started its operations just a few months ago, within 2020, the company keeps working on upgrading its services and plans to proceed with many more actions for the benefit of its passengers.
