Within the framework of the project, guides and educational programs addressed to academic and administrative staff and University students were developed to raise awareness on the presence of students with disabilities and ensure equal opportunities for them throughout their studies. The guides cover various aspects of the educational process, such as adapting, diversifying and enhancing a course to meet the needs of people with disabilities, integrating and using technology in the educational process to improve the quality of teaching, and student assessment. Educational programs concerning inclusive design and universal design of the urban environment and space were also developed.

The set of tools developed is freely accessible online in four languages: Greek, English, Polish and Slovenian.  On behalf of Frederick University, the project is implemented by RIGE – The Gender Equality and Inclusion Research Unit of the University, led by Dr Petroula Mavrikiou, Assistant Professor at the Business Administration Department. “Frederick University is committed to being an equal opportunities organization and adopts a no-discrimination policy” says Dr Mavrikiou. “Developing educational programs within the framework of the ‘Inclusive University’ Project is part of our ongoing effort to ensure equal opportunities for all.”  Members of the academic and administrative staff of Frederick University contributed to the development of the materials: Mrs Andrea Athanasiou, Director of the Studies & Student Welfare Service, Dr Gregoris Kalnis, Assistant Professor in Urban Design and Synthesis and Dr Anna Merry, Special Teaching Staff in Interior Design, Urban Studies and User Experience shared their expertise and knowledge to the project.
