City of Dreams Mediterranean, Europe’s first integrated resort (IR), took part in the global travel and tourism event World Travel Market (WTM) London, promoting Cyprus as a year-round tourism destination and showcasing the resort’s world-class luxury facilities.
The market leading international travel event WTM London traditionally hosts the biggest names from every travel sector, enabling parties to connect and network and identify business development opportunities. WTM provides an ideal platform for travel businesses – to boost and elevate their potential, offering brand visibility among the biggest names in travel before thousands of attendees from over 100 countries.
City of Dreams Mediterranean participated in the expo with its booth positioned among those of the leaders of the industry. The booth attracted a large number of visitors interested in Europe’s first IR and its vast and exciting offerings. Among them was Deputy Tourism Minister of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Savvas Perdios, who spoke to Melco executives about the City of Dreams Mediterranean. The Ministry and Melco Cyprus have formed a strategic alliance to collaborate on shaping a more resilient and sustainable model of tourism development.
Melco Cyprus’ Senior Manager, Resort Marketing, Ms. Skevi Vasiliou showcased the unique paradigm shifting entertainment experience of City of Dreams Mediterranean as well as the resort’s luxurious facilities and services. Speaking from the expo, Ms. Vasiliou said, “It is important to take part in international events to showcase Cyprus and the City of Dreams Mediterranean – Europe’s first integrated resort – which is expected to be a gamechanger for the island’s tourism.
