The European association of insolvency practitioners, insolvency lawyers and restructuring professionals, INSOL Europe, recently appointed the Director of CITR Cyprus Irina Misca, as Cyprus Country Coordinator, member of the Membership Development Committee (MDC), for 2020-2022.
INSOL Europe supports European business recovery, turnaround, and insolvency issues, by facilitating the exchange of information and ideas amongst its members, relevant European and international bodies who are affected by those procedures. As a Country Coordinator, Mrs. Misca will act as the link between INSOL Europe and local insolvency associations and practitioners, and support national legislators and stakeholders on insolvency matters, by sharing global know-how and best practices; thinking on a European level and acting locally.
President of INSOL Europe, Piya Mukherjee stated: “We would like to welcome Mrs Irina Misca to our MDC. We believe that her background, qualifications, and experience will add considerable value to our work, and we look forward to collaborating with her to better connect INSOL Europe with Cyprus’ relevant stakeholders.”

As an insolvency practitioner, I believe it is important to foster relations and increase cooperation between local, European and international professionals, enabling the share of knowledge and expertise to better support the development of our industry and contribute to the prosperity of the business community across borders.”
Irina Mișca is a licensed insolvency practitioner in Romania and Cyprus and has extensive experience in the field. She studied at the Faculty of Law, “Babeş-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca and continued her studies on Economic Sciences and Business Administration. After working as a Project Manager and Business Development Manager of CITR in Romania, in 2018 she took the lead of the Cyprus office, with a view to support local pre-insolvent or insolvent businesses get back on track.
