Celestyal Olympia will begin weekly departures from Saturday 3 July until the 21 August from Limassol port, and will call in Ayios Nikolaos (Crete), Lavrio (Athens), Thessaloniki, and then Mykonos, Santorini and Rhodes. The new itinerary named «Mythical Archipelago»  begins from 699€ per person, and includes the unlimited consumption of classic drinks, all meals onboard, a full and specially designed entertainment programme, two excursions, port charges, service fees and tips. Children up to the age of 12 will only be charged port charges and taxes. All departures will be open for booking from Friday 9 April. It is noted that everyone in possession of a negative PCR test up to 48 hours prior to departure will be permitted onboard, while guidance from local authorities is expected regarding an exemption from the negative PCR test for all those in possession of a vaccination certificate.

Celestyal Olympia, set to welcome Cypriot travellers for the first time from Limassol port, features 12 decks, can accommodate 1,664 passengers in 724 comfortable and welcoming cabins, 418 of which are external, while 21 suites are also available. Passengers will have the chance to enjoy rich Greek and Mediterranean cuisine at three restaurants, while varied onboard entertainment options are available in the ship’s many lounges, spacious decks with two large pools, and the seven bars. The fully equipped gym, as well as the health and beauty centre, the duty-free shops and the playground, enhance the exceptional experience and services available on the cruise ship. It should be noted that this year, the number of passengers on board will be reduced due to strict protocols.

Celestyal Cruises is the only company that will visit Thessaloniki on a weekly basis. Passengers on this unique cruise will have the opportunity to explore the cultural heritage sites of Thessaloniki and indulge in the traditional tastes of this enchanting city known as a ‘gastronomic paradise’. Furthermore, during a long stop in Mykonos, (from 10am – 02.00am the next day), passengers can enjoy other nearby islands, including Tinos and Delos. The history of Tinos is intertwined with religious tourism, well known for its picturesque villages. In this light, Celestyal Cruises has organized an optional pilgrimage from Mykonos to the Panagia of Tinos. Last but not least, Delos is renowned as the mythological birthplace of Apollo, home to one of the most impressive archaeological sites.

CEO of Celestyal Cruises, Chris Theophilides, said: «Aware of the increased demand for tourism in Greece in general, especially for cruises, we decided to invest in a new route this year and, drawing upon our extensive experience and knowledge of the area, we decided to offer Cypriots the opportunity to board and disembark directly at Limassol port. Additionally, with the resumption of Celestyal Crystal’s winter programme in November, we will continue and strengthen our efforts, which began in 2019, for the development of positive prospects for Cyprus from new quality tourism markets, concurrently extending the tourist period.”

Travellers are reminded that Celestyal Crystal will begin its ‘Idyllic Aegean’ cruises of three, four and seven nights on 29 Μay from Piraeus port. From 20 November, Celestyal Crystal will begin its seven night Three Continents winter route from Limassol port, which, aside from Limassol, includes Egypt, Israel, Rhodes, Athens and ancient Ephesus. Finally, as soon as Celestyal Olympia completes its programme from Limassol on 30 August, it will run the scheduled Images of the Aegean and Exploration Images three and four-night itineraries from the port of Lavrio for the remaining tourist period.

The phased-in resumption of the Celestyal Cruises itineraries is based on adherence to all established protocols. As a member of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), Celestyal Cruises is committed to the adoption of mandatory core elements of enhanced health protocols. These protocols, which apply to the entire cruise experience, have been informed by leading scientists, medical experts and the relevant European and Hellenic health authorities. To ensure that all passengers remain updated, all health protocols have been published on the official website of Celestyal Cruises, which includes, among others, boosting specialized medical personnel and ship equipment, including intensive care units, respirators and PCR test equipment.
